In 1988 I spent a lot of time in workshop-garage of my grandfather. I believe that was the time when I found out about my passion for creating different objects.
I started to learn how to use different tools and techniques, in order to maintain family tradition as my grandfather and great-grandfather from my mother's side were craftmans. And, in the garage, there was everything you could wish for - beginning with all kinds of instruments and ending with barrels full of salted fish.
My project for Glenfiddich Barrel Art Russia was based on garage theme, times of 'the sunset of Soviet period'. It could be said, that a garage in those times was a small subculture, that i have expressed in symbols by this project.
